Eric Hunt, PGA, Head Golf Professional | Grapevine Golf Course, Grapevine Texas
I was born in Springfield Missouri in 1976 and attended Southwest Baptist University until I graduated in 1998. I have been in the golf industry for over 18 years in numerous different capacities but working at a golf course is where I developed my love and passion for serving golfers of all levels. I enjoy teaching the game of golf to all skill levels. I have the privilege of teaching our Get Golf Ready adult clinics (designed for beginners and fairly new golfers) along with our Junior Golf Academy.
I served the members at Las Colinas Country Club for over 7 years where I honed my craft in tournaments, golf operations and member services. I obtained my PGA certification in April 2015. I enjoy participating in golf professional tournaments throughout Northern Texas and I am heavily involved in governance with the NTPGA section.
I look forward to serving the golfers and customers of Grapevine Golf Course.

I am pleased to announce that I have the opportunity to participate in a Birdies for Kids Fundraiser on Monday December 19th at Mira Vista Country Club. Birdies for Kids was starting in North Texas 19 years ago. More than 15 clubs in the Northern Texas Section will be participating in the fundraising initiative. Since its inception the fundraiser has raised $2.79 million to benefit various children’s charities in our community. All proceeds that I raise will benefit the Northern Texas PGA Foundation’s Growth of the Game initiatives and the AJ Harper Scholarship. A significant portion of the funds raised during Birdies for Kids are designated for educational services through the Foundation’s scholarship program. This year 74 high school seniors earned scholarships totaling $656,000, the most ever given in a single year by the Northern Texas PGA Foundation. I will be playing four rounds throughout the day (72 holes) and my goal is to make as many birdies and eagles as possible. I am seeking pledges from individuals and companies for every birdie and eagle that I make. I am playing from a yardage of around 6500 yards. Your donation is 100% tax deductible.
